The HANS III represents the third generation of injection molded HANS devices and features a contemporary approach to reducing weight.
SFI 38.1 and FIA 8858 certified
The device features a hollow collar and is made from an all new polymer, to substantially minimizes weight. Engineered reinforcements ensure an exceptionally strong structure that provides the same level of safety as every HANS device.
Rounded collar designed to not catch a corner or roll bar while entering or exiting your car. The reduced mass guarantees the lightest and most comfortable injection molded HANS ever.

The Hans III Device features a specially engineered hollow collar that reduces device weight substantially.
By engineering specific reinforcements into the design, the exceptionally strong structure provides the same level of safety as every other Hans Device, but allows for the lightest and most comfortable injection molded Hans Device ever.
Featuring a sculpted round collar (similar to the Sport 2) that allows for increased driver comfort and easier entry/exit from the car.
Designed so you can forget you are wearing a head and neck restraint, a HANS Device lets you have a full range of vision on the tightest of tracks by utilizing sliding tethers.
Impacts at speeds as low as 35 mph can cause a painful head or neck injury, possibly causing you to miss out on track time, (and work). Neck injuries often require extensive physical therapy to regain movement and flexibility.

Choice of Anchors: Quick Clips or Post Anchors are offered for each HANS Device and can be used with either type of helmet, Snell SA or Snell SAH.
Snell SA helmets use an internal nutwasher which is slid inside the inner lining of the helmet, and oriented by using a thin tool to hold the nutwasher in place while installing the post anchor or Quick Click anchor.
Snell SAH helmets have a threaded insert (nutwasher) bonded directly inside the helmet shell. So SAH helmets use an indexing collar and a tool is used to orient or index the post anchor from the outside of the helmet.
NOTE: All SA2015 Helmets are Snell SAH compliant, no backing plate is needed if you have a SA2015 helmet.
All HANS are available with your choice of teathers ending with Sliding Quick Click attachment points or with Post Anchor attachment points.
Note: The width of the HANS Device is sized to fit your neck or shirt collar size comfortably. You may fit several sizes - comfort is the final deciding factor.
