E30 Brake Cooling - Backing Plates,
Finally! An affordable means of ducting your front brakes for E30 BMW's; a very critical area for any performance driving and competitive environment.
These brackets are made from stainless steel, and welded for durability. They are designed to route high pressure air into the center of the vortex created by the spinning rotor. This aids in a uniform cooling of the rotors, helps increase longevity of the pads and rotors, and helps prevent the brake fluid from over heating.
These brackets are sold as a pair and include 2 hose clamps to attach 3" diameter brake ducting. Easy installation does not require the removal of the wheel hub. The backing plate mounts using the existing dust shield bolts. Remove the dust shield that is currently in place. You will need some tin snips or the like to cut the thin section apart to be able to remove it. Slide the backing plate in place and reuse the bolts to secure.
