One of the first upgrades many MINI owners tend make to is to add a Strut Bar. They are easy to install and will improve on the handling that the MINI is known for. Since cornering is why we love the MINI, of course we want to make our improvements in that area. CravenSpeed's SARS go one step further to address an issue that MINI has not properly dealt with, Tower Deformation or Mushrooming.
The base of the bar is a half inch thick plate of billet aluminum that will keep your strut tower intact, while the bar ties the two opposing towers together as a single unit.
When you get SARS you are really also getting the CravenSpeed STDs also. You'll get the custom made hardware, which is the only way you can mount a plate with this thickness throughout.
The Plates cover the whole tower, distributing the shock force over the entire tower to prevent damage.
You'll also get the CravenSpeed two piece tunable billet aircraft aluminum bar. The two piece design allows you to adjust the tension on the bar. Proper tension on the bar will minimize flex in a corner.
CravenSpeed's SARS retains a 1/2 inch thickness throughout ensuring that there are no weak spots. Installation is easy, using the included instructions, it will take about 10 minutes to ensure that you do not have to go through a lengthy and expensive alignment repair.
For second generation Turbo-charged MINI models only (most 2007+ MINI S Models including the Clubman, Coupe and Roadster).
Unfortunately, there is not a SARS Bar for the Countryman.
